    The company was formed in 1903 as a merger of the Racine Wagon & Carriage Company with the Sattley Manufacturing Company.  The seat was in Racine, Wisconsin. The main product were carriages. H. E. Miles and Hans Sattley led the company. Both withdrew in 1909. George H. Yule became new president, Logan Hay vice president, George B. Lourie secretary, T.M. Kearney treasurer and automotive engineer P. H. Connolly superintendent of the automotive division. In 1910, the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Racine-Sattley. The first vehicle was presented at the Chicago Automobile Show in 1910. In 1911, motor vehicle production ended.
    In 1914, a reorganization led to the Racine Carriage Company.
