Handsome official fold-out 1970 highway map of British Columbia, printed more than 50 years ago.
This map opens to 18" x 40" and has great detail on old road alignments, plus an inset plan of Vancouver, Victoria, and vicinity.
On the reverse side there is a directory of campgrounds, wayside rest areas, and marine parks, plus information on sport fishing.
The map was distributed by the British Columbia Department of Travel Industry, Victoria, and is identified as the 1970-1971 edition. The scans above shows the front and back covers.
According to the Official Maps Master List of the Road Map Collectors of Association, there were two editions of the official highway map of British Columbia issued in 1970. This is the second, or "B" edition, in the RMCA list.
