# SR2408 1965 Monogram Ferrari 275 P, 1/24 Slot Car Kit # 3

Description

This a complete kit except for no skull head driver but does have the real driver's face. This car has never seen any track time, with that being said it has a few issues the worst being the water or moisture damage to the front of the box and I have no ideal how this happened because the other only damage to the contents was a little Monogram model cars  promo card and the decal sheet was ruined and that was the extent of the damage so I purchased a new reproduction decal sheet for this kit. I believe the moisture damage was caused from being stored in a garage or shed because the rear sponge slicks were deteriorated and the front tires were missing, the rear has nice slick sponge tires like what would of with this kit and the front tires are brand new K & B # 419 Goodyear Stock Car Tires. The body was started then I think was stored poorly. All the chrome pieces on the except the new tail pipes. The two pieces that were glued in the driver's mirror and the driver's interior both came off very nicely for me. The clear windshield and the two clear head light lens covers were also glued in but all the clear pieces are new as seen in my photos. There is 2 tiny glue residue spots and these also can be seen in my photos they are right together where the driver's mirror was and right in front the center windshield tab goes ( All these things can be fixed if you purchase here on eBay Testors clear drying glue # 3515CT ). It make a nice job if buy this glue. The aluminum deep dish wheels need some more dressing up with some fine steel wool I did some dressing up to them. One the braided track guide brushes almost completely broken off and I did not have one to match it so I replaced both of them they aren't new but are in good condition. I saw and added to this kit the steering wheel I thought that it had it already it here,  I really thought is was not for this kit but it is now.
REVIESED 02/23/2021  I wasn't sure about how the new K&B Model Rama PIT STOP,  Goodyear Rear Stock Car Racer tires would fit since they a rear 1/24 slot car tire. To my surprise when I paired the 2 together, there was no further adjustment needed no adding or subtracting of axle spacers or no chassis adjustment was needed. The only thing and which is not uncommon is after you pair the two some times the bevel gear will tighten up and it did so I backed off the bevel just a little and it is se now and you always want make sure the is not too much or too tension. It  should turn by hand pretty easy. Look at the 2 new photos I added numbers 9 and 10
It really looks very cool with the fatter front tires on it, very cool
